Our carbide inserts are DLC coated, just like all of our other bits! DLC provides a significant increase in tool longevity by reducing friction produced during the cutting process. 
 
SEKT cutters are angled to produce an optimum shear angle between the tool and stock, increasing cut efficiency and reducing wear on the tool. 
 
 
All HCT bits are designed for cutting wood, non-ferrous metal (aluminum/brass/soft metals), and synthetic/plastic-based materials like epoxy and sheet plastics. Bit performance varies with machine type, feeds/speeds set, and the stock material. 
 
Our CNC bits are made from solid Japanese carbide.
